Mounting & Connecting Systems

This chapter describes the steps required to mount an Aurorean Network
Gateway ANG-3000/7000 or Aurorean Policy Server APS-3000/7000 on a
desktop or rack, and connect the following devices: Ethernet network,
Aurorean Network Gateway, Aurorean Policy Server, and power cables.

Before You Begin

Before you start to install an Aurorean Virtual Network system, review the
following information.

Tools & Cables

Rack-mounting and sliding rail kits, including brackets and screws, are
supplied with every ANG-3000/7000 and APS 3000/7000. The rack-
mounting bag is stored in the package and the sliding rails kit is packed in an
long, thin box positioned beside the system in the shipping box. Enterasys
Networks also supplies all Ethernet and modem cables necessary to link the
system to the corporate network and telephone network.

NOTE

If you need additional cables, refer to Appendix B for cable specifications

and connector pin assignments.
