Configuring General Values of the ANG-3000/7000

NOTE
Optional. You may save the ANG configuration to a directory of your
choice by clicking Backup Configuration and specifying the backup
location. For more detailed instructions, refer to “Backing Up the ANG
Configuration” on page 85.
NOTE
You can use the Check VPN button on the Aurorean Web Config General
Configuration Window (displayed in Figure 43) to test whether your
VPN setup was successful. When you click the button, an Internet
browser pops up displaying the message shown below or the reasons for
an unsuccessful connection.
The Policy Server at IP Address 167.51.178.56 is
providing the authentication for this configuration.

Use the following checklist to verify you have completed the earlier
configuration steps. Did you:

Connect your remote control PC to the ANG using either the
crossover cable or a hub?
!
Change the IP address of your remote control PC to an address in the
192.168.1.0/24 subnet other than 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3?
!
FTP, from the
Aurorean_3.x.xx-xx\NetworkGateway
directory
on the Aurorean System Software CD, the
rts-xxx.i.386.rpm
file to the trusted IP address (192.168.1.2) of the ANG?
!
Open a Telnet session to the trusted IP, log in and type su -?
!
From the
/home/ftp/pub
directory, type
rpm -i --force rts.xxx.i386.rpm
(where xxx is the release, build and
patch number)?
!
Reboot the ANG?
