Install the New Linux Kernel

Telnet to the trusted IP address of the ANG and login (the default
username and password are

su - root
and press

cd /home/ftp/pub
and press
ENTER

cd ~ftp
and press
ENTER

rpm -i --force Linux-2.2-16-2.i386.rpm

Ignore several warning messages which appear during installation.

When the Linux prompt (#) returns, type:
reboot
and press
ENTER

FTP the ANG Installation Kit to the ANG

When the APS is back up, browse to the
...\NetworkGateway
directory and copy the
rts-3.5.xx-xxx.i386.rpm
file to the
c:\temp
directory.

Bring up a DOS command window. Type
cd \temp
and press
ENTER

Type:
ftp
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
(where
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
is the IP address
of the trusted interface on the ANG).

Log in as
anonymous
, using your email address as the password.

Type
bin
and press
ENTER

Type
put rts-3.5.xx-xxx.i386.rpm
and press
ENTER

When the transfer is complete, type
