Checking LEDs
Basic System Operation
Checking LEDs
Aurorean APS/ANG-3000/7000 systems contain informative LEDs on the
front panel.
APS/ANG-3000/7000 Front Panel LEDs
Front panel LEDs for the APS/ANG-3000/7000 systems share the same LEDs.
Table 1 describes each front panel LED and indicates what action should be
taken for each LED state (on, off, or blinking).

Green
The system is powered on or
off. If this LED remains off
even when the system is
connected to a working
power source, the power
supply is no longer functional.

No action required.
Off
Verify that the power cord is plugged into a
functional wall outlet or UPS and into the
receptacle on the system’s rear panel.
Blinking
A blinking green LED indicates the system is
in sleep mode. The sleep mode switch is
located near the power switch. See
Figure 64 on page 96.
Amber
System status.
Will blink on reset or power-
up.
Blinking
No action required.
Green
Hard Disk activity.
Access occurring at any one
of three sources: Hard Disk 1,
Hard Disk 2, or an external
SCSI drive connected to the
SCSI activity connector
On
No action required.
