Checking LEDs
Chapter 4
Basic System Operation
Yellow
This LED lights when a
successful 100Mb link is
successful on the
Trusted
Ethernet port.
The operating system has
booted and the Overlord
service is running.
On and
blinking
No action required.
Off
Press the Reset button to reboot the system.
If the LED stays off after rebooting, connect a
keyboard, monitor, and mouse to the system
and contact Enterasys Networks Customer
Support as described in
Appendix C
.
Green
Controller detects and
configures for 100Mb
operation.
On
No action required.
Off
Link on Trusted Ethernet port is configured
for 10Mb.
Yellow
This LED lights when a
successful 100Mb link is
successful on the
External
Ethernet port.
On and
blinking
No action required.
Off
Verify that the power cord is plugged into a
functional wall outlet or UPS and into the
receptacle on the system’s rear panel.
Green
Controller detects and
configures for 100Mb
operation.

Link on External Ethernet port is configured
for 10Mb.

The system has contacted
another Aurorean system and
is able to exchange
management messages with
that system (indicating that a
Delivery service session is up
and the other system is
considered reachable).

Check the Ethernet ports and LEDs on the
system rear panel to ensure the cables are
securely connected and that the Ethernet
link is active. Using the RiverMaster
management application, check the
IP addresses assigned to each Ethernet port
and verify that any routers or firewalls
separating the systems are configured to
pass packets between the addresses.
