3.3 Device architecture
3.3.1 Slot and port assignment
The electronic configuration follows a modular concept:
• Several slots are available for electronics modules. These are referred to as "slots".
• These slots are numbered consecutively in the housing. Slots 0 and 1 are always reserved for
the basic module.
Slot 2 is the analyzer interface module if no other modules are present.
• Each electronics module has one or more inputs and outputs or relays. Here they are all
collectively known as "ports".
• Ports are consecutively numbered per electronics module and are recognized automatically by
the software.
