3: Mechanical Installation

3.1: Overview

The Shark® 200S meter can be installed on any wall. See Chapter 4 for wiring 
diagrams.

Mount the meter in a dry location, which is free from dirt and corrosive substances. 

Recommended Tools for Shark® 200S Installation

  

•  #2 Phillips screwdriver

•  Wire cutters 

WARNING! 

During normal operation of the Shark® 200S meter, danger-

ous voltages flow through many parts of the meter, including: Terminals 
and any connected CTs (Current Transformers) and PTs (Potential Trans-
formers), all I/O Modules (Inputs and Outputs) and their circuits. All 
Primary and Secondary circuits can, at times, produce lethal voltages and

     currents. Avoid contact with any current-carrying surfaces. 

Before performing ANY

     work on the meter, make sure the meter is powered down and all connected 
     circuits are de-energized.
