Actions are limited in size only by the available system memory. For
practical reasons, however, actions should be limited in size to facilitate
easier program understanding and readability.
A brief description of each item on the action list follows:
1) Set Output: The address of the output, preceded by a priority, will be
turned ON (assuming that the priority is higher than the output’s reset
priority). This output may be a relay on a standard option card, an LED
of the remote annunciator, an output on a control module (M500CF,
SIGA-CR, SIGA-UM), or an output pseudo point.
2) Reset Output: The same as 1) Set Output except the output is turned
OFF (assuming that the priority is higher than the output’s set priority).
3) Activate Action: The action number is performed, assuming that the
action is not the same action that called it. An action cannot activate
itself.
4) Restore Action: This item performs the opposite function of the 3)
Activate Action item above. The restore action function will be carried
out by the computer if the called action has initially been activated. You
can only restore an activated action.
5) Patrol Number: A 4-digit patrol number may be assigned to a zone,
switch, etc. through an action. For more information on guard patrol,
refer to the guard patrol application in this section.
6) Store Patrol List: In this entry you will be assigning the patrol route
and the times (in minutes) that the guard must arrive at each station. For
more information on guard patrol, refer to the guard patrol application
in this section.
7) Enable Input: This item will enable an input (zone) that has been
previously disabled.
8) Disable Input: This item will prevent an input from reporting any
changes of state. Each input disabled will be posted on the DP counter
(Disabled Points) at the CM1N. This feature is primarily used in door
control applications to disable normal day-time traffic reporting through
public doors.
