Operation
Using the RS-232C interface
By connecting a computer, touch panel, or other external controller to the [RS-232C] terminal on the
rear panel of the DV-7PR, you can use the external device to select palettes, start and stop video clips,
and turn off the power.

Communication protocol: start-stop system (asynchronous) full duplex
Baud rate: 9,600 bps
Parity: none
Data length: 8 bits
Stop bit length: 1 bit
Code: ASCII
Flow control: XON/XOFF

* The DV-7PR connector is a male-type connector. To connect to a computer use a female-female cross-type cable.

Setting up
Perform the procedures given below to set up the external controller and the DV-7PR.
1.
Connect both devices together with the RS-232C interface cable.
2.
Turn on the external controller.
3.
Set the communication settings at the external controller.
4.
Turn on the DV-7PR and start Presenter.
5.
Start operations.

(p. 113).
Using the touch panel display
With a connected touch panel display, you can control the Presenter by touching the display directly.
For more information, refer to “Application and connection examples” (p. 12), and for the touch
panel settings, refer to “Setting the touch panel display” (p. 99).
