Introduction
Importing material from another project
You can assign material from not only the current project but also from other projects. For more
information regarding the operation, refer to “Importing material from a different project” (p. 71).
Using video sources connected to the V-4 as video clips
By connecting the V-4 (Video mixer), you can also use signals via external devices connected to the
V-4 such as video decks as materials.
These data will appear in the Materials list with names like “V4 INPUT2 NTSC” (only when the V-4
control function (p.90) is on). You can assign these materials as video clips to a palette, so that you
can play the signals from external videos alike the others at Play Mode.
For more information regarding the V-4 operation, refer to “Controlling the V-4” (p. 90).
Importing and editing new material
You can import materials from videos and CD-Rs, etc. and also edit these images. For more
information regarding the operation, refer to “Importing materials from a video deck” (p. 72),
“Editing the materials” (p. 73), and “Importing material from an external source” (p. 73).
Editing palettes and video clips
You can edit the palettes and video clips, such as changing their names and listed order, etc. For more
information regarding the operation, refer to “Editing a palette” (p. 58) and “Editing a video clip” (p.
60).
