Operation

 

Importing materials

 

Importing material from a different project

 

You can import materials from other projects.

 

1.

 

Right-click

 

 on the material in the Materials list to which you wish to import.

 

2.

 

Choose [Import material from disks ] from the menu that appears. 

 

The Import materials dialog box appears.

Select the disk where the material is located in the Disks list and the project to import from in 
the Projects list.

 

4.

 

Select the material to import in the Materials list and click the [Import] button.

 

You can check the material at the preview area on the right side of the screen.
To select more that one material, hold down the [Shift] key while selecting.

 

You can also import materials and assign them directly to certain positions on the Clips list and the Palette 
window. 

 

Right-click

 

 on the desired position on the Clips list or the Palette window, select [Import material 

to here] from the context menu, and perform the above operation.
The Editor has a special warehouse called Library, where materials are stored for common use between 
projects. For more information regarding the library, refer to the DV-7 Instruction manual.
