Operation
Controlling the V-4
Using the separately sold V-4, you can use the external video input from the V-4 as video clips on this
unit. You can also use external MIDI devices to control the V-4 video effects, or control the output
fade to the final image output.
Connect a USB compatible MIDI interface to this unit, connect the MIDI cable to the MIDI OUT
interface of this unit, and to the MIDI IN of the V-4, and connect the video out jack of this unit with
the [INPUT 1] jack of the V-4.
Be sure to turn on the power of the V-4 before turn on this unit.
You need to set the V-4 as below:
• Set Mix01 for [MIX] button function in MEMORY 8.
• Turn Video Fader to channel A.

Set the Device ID of the V-4.
For information regarding the Device ID setting, refer to the Instruction manual of the V-4.

At thePlay Mode or Edit Mode screen, click the [MIDI Preferences] button.
3.
Set the Device ID for V-4 Control.
Set the same ID as the V-4.

Mark the checkbox in the “V-4 Control”.
V-4 Control turns on.
