■ International prefix number for the
universal number (Table 2)
* Note that the universal numbers may not be
available from mobile phones, public phones or
hotels.
* The universal numbers are available only in the
above countries.
* If you make a call from a hotel, the fees may be
charged by the hotel. Check with the hotel before
using.
Use in the local area
This FOMA terminal is available in 3G
roaming area. When the FOMA terminal is
turned on after you arrive the destination
overseas, a local roaming operator is
automatically set.
● Display, date and time
While using the FOMA terminal overseas, the
name of the operator connected appears on
the standby screen.

z When the time difference adjustment setting
(P.54) is “Auto”, the FOMA terminal main
clock is automatically adjusted to the local
time according to the time data received
from the network of an overseas roaming
operator connected. The time adjustment
timing depends on the operator.
z
Please note that the auto time difference
adjustment may not be available while
staying overseas. In that case, the time
should be adjusted manually.
z
When the sub clock setting (P.55) is “Auto”,
the sub clock displays the Japan time.
z Regardless of “Set main time” setting, the
received address list are time stamped as
the date and time in Japan standard time.
z
When “ ” remains on the screen, set
“NW search mode” to “Auto”. It may take
some time to search network just after
turning on the FOMA terminal and “

may appear while searching.
z Even if caller ID information is provided to a
call recipient, a caller ID may not be
displayed on the FOMA terminal screen,
simply displaying “Unknown” or
“Withholding” instead. The FOMA terminal
screen also displays “Unknown” even when
“Caller ID Request Service” is set.

After returning to Japan
When you returned to Japan and turn on the
FOMA terminal, the network will be
automatically searched and set to the FOMA
network (DoCoMo).
