to receive a call without changing the phone

Setting the Search Mode of
the Operator
<NW search mode>
When you move out of the service area of the
operator you are using, the FOMA terminal is
reconnected to another operator’s network.
z This function may not be set depending on
the conditions of radio waves or networks.
z
As of February, 2009, no service provider
other than NTT DOCOMO can be selected
in Japan.
z
If you have switched to any other available
overseas operator’s network manually, set
the “NW search mode” back to “Auto” when
you return to Japan.

connected when searching the operator

When you receive a call while using
international roaming services, the call is sent
to your usual mobile phone number in Japan
and then forwarded to your travel destination
no matter from which country the call
originates. The caller has to bear charges for
calls to Japan, and “receiving charges” will be
incurred to a receiving party.

needs to dial the phone number as in
