Setting the Operation for
Opening the FOMA Terminal
<Setting when opened>
You can set the operation for opening the
FOMA terminal during incoming call/missed
call/new mail.
■ When the Answer incoming set to “ON”
When you receive a call, opening the FOMA
terminal enables you to answer the received
call immediately. → P.74
■ When the Display new mail/Display
missed call set to “ON”
When you have a missed call/new mail,
opening the FOMA terminal enables you to
check the mail contents or caller’s name
immediately.
z When you have a new mail/message/chat
mail, the mail detail screen/message detail
screen/chat screen appears same as
selecting “
/ / ” on the standby

When you have a missed call, the received
calls list screen appears same as selecting
“ ” on the standby screen.

Turning the FOMA Terminal
On/Off Automatically
<Auto power ON/OFF>
Set the Auto power function, the power supply
automatically on or off at the specified time.
z
The FOMA terminal does not turn off during
using another function, even if the Auto
power OFF set time is reached. In addition,
the FOMA terminal does not turn off when
the alarm notification time or the i-
α
ppli
Auto-start time is the same as the Auto
power OFF set time. The FOMA terminal
turns off after finish the function.
z
If the FOMA terminal turns off, the
Music&Video Channel program is not
downloaded, reserved update of the
software or Timer recording of TV is not
available. Note above when setting Auto
power OFF.

z Before entering an area such as an aircraft or
hospital where there is electronic equipment
that uses extremely precise control systems or
very low signal levels and the use of mobile
phones is prohibited, set the “Auto power ON”
setting to “OFF” and then turn the FOMA
terminal off.
