● When Public mode (Power OFF) is
set
The setting is valid until “

25250” is dialed to
release the Public mode (Power OFF). The
setting is not canceled only by turning on the
FOMA terminal.
The Public mode (Power OFF) message is
announced even when you are in an out-of-
service area or where the reception is very
poor.
z
A caller making a voice call hears a
message that you cannot answer the call
because you are in the place you have to
turn off the mobile phone, then the call ends.
z A caller making a videophone call sees the
Public mode (Power OFF) video message
on his or her display, then the call ends.
When You Cannot Answer a
Received Call
<Missed call>
When you cannot answer a received call, the
“
” appears on the standby screen. When
you select “ ”, you can check the date, time
and the caller ID about the call.
z When “Setting when opened” (P.378) is
“ON”, opening the FOMA terminal enables
you to check the caller’s name immediately.

When there is a missed call or new mail
(i-mode mail, Area Mail and SMS), new chat
mail, the illumination lamp keeps on flashing.
When you press

(MUSIC), you can confirm
the callers and senders by voice.

according to the setting of “Info notice
setting”.
● Flashing of the illumination lamp
When there is a missed call, new mail, or new
chat mail, the illumination lamp keeps on
flashing in the each color set.
z
When there is a missed call, new mail and
new chat mail, the lamp lights up following
rules; the lamp light is up once for one, the
lamp lights up two times for two, and the
lamp lights up three times for three in the
each color set.

Flashing color and conditions
• The lamp does not flash when the Missed
info of “Illumination” is set to “OFF”.
• The lamp flashes in the default color when
Gradation is set in “Illumination”.
• You can set the specified color for the caller/
sender in the phonebook.

(Driving mode).

To turn off the lamp
• Select the icon for “Missed call”, “New mail”
or “Chat mail” in the display to check the
description or press
