Voice/Videophone Calls

Using Public mode (Power OFF)

Public mode (Power OFF) is an automatic answering 

service putting emphasis on manners in a highly public 

place. When there is an incoming call in Public mode 

(Power OFF), the caller hears an announcement notifying 

that the receiver is in a place requiring power OFF of the 

mobile phone (hospital, air plane, near priority seats in 

electric train, etc.) and cannot answer the call, and the call 

is disconnected.

stand-by display).

When there is an incoming call in Public mode 

(Power OFF), announcement "The person you are 

calling is currently in an area where use is 

prohibited. Please try again later." is played.

When Public mode (Power OFF) is 
activated

When there is an incoming voice call, the caller hears an 

announcement notifying that the receiver is in a place 

requiring power OFF of a mobile phone and the call is 

disconnected. When there is an incoming videophone 

call, Public mode announcement and image is displayed 

on the caller's terminal and the call is disconnected.

The settings continue until Public mode (Power OFF) is 

canceled by dialing "

25250". The settings are not 

canceled by simply turning the power ON.

The Public mode (Power OFF) announcement is played 

also when you are outside the service area or in a place 

where waves do not reach.
