Before Using the Handset
◆ Selecting a function
Press
m
in stand-by and select and execute the functions
from the menu displayed.
There are 2 ways to execute the function : one is to press
a keypad corresponding to a menu item and the other is
to select the menu item using the multi-cursor key.

When any function is restricted by lock functions or no
UIM in slot, icon appears or characters are
displayed in a different color that the function is
disabled. The display does not change for animation
menu. When a function is selected, the reason the
function is nonexecutable, etc. appears.

Display the function description for the menu item at
the cursor position. Settings also appear for some
menu items.

Selecting menu items by key (Shortcut
operations)
A number (item number) is assigned to each menu item.
The menu items can be selected by pressing the
corresponding key (

to move the menu item to the front in the
center. Operated keys and movement of a menu
item are as shown below.

: Turn clockwise, moving the icon at the right of
the cursor to the cursor position.

: Turn counterclockwise, moving the icon at the
left of the cursor to the cursor position.

: Turn counterclockwise, moving the icon at the
back to the cursor position.

: Turn clockwise, moving the icon at the back to
the cursor position.
