Rolling Screen from
Laptop
Visible horizontal bar that is
lighter than rest of the image
“rolls” down the screen
continually.
Connect the video source, A/V system
and display to the same power
source.
Ground loop Issue
Ensure all are properly grounded.
If needed a ground loop isolator can
be used.
Power cables for the
projector are run too close to
the video cables.
Video cabling and power cabling
should never run parallel and close
together. If two must cross, they
should do so at a 90° angle. Most
power is generated at 50 – 60Hz and
most computer video is output at
60Hz. If your display supports it, you
can set your laptop to output video at
a higher frequency, (i.e. 70 – 75Hz).
See computer video driver
instructions.
Cables damaged or
unserviceable caused by
poor shielded cables.
Inspect cabling for damage.
Try independently replacing both the
cabling between laptop and the switch
and between the switch and display.
4
No audio from media
player or playing out of
speakers.
Speakers are wired
incorrectly.
Ensure speakers are plugged in, on
and LEDs are illuminated. Make sure
volume on the speakers themselves
are turned up.
Check and ensure the audio source’s
volume is up and not muted.
Individual audio line is muted
in the A/V System
Check the A/V system and ensure
that neither the input being used, the
speaker channel, nor the master
audio is muted nor the volume is
turned too low.
Check the cable and ensure that the
cable from the speaker jack goes from
the A/V system to LINE IN on the first
speaker, and the cable from LINE
OUT goes to LINE IN on the second
speaker.
5
Picture missing a color
The picture on the laptop
looks correct, but colors on
the screen are not correct.
Open a color test image on your
laptop to confirm it is a color problem.
If the red, blue or green colors are
completely missing, replace the cable.
If all the bars are there but the colors
are off, try adjusting images on the
projector and/or laptop to clear up
issue.
