GENERAL
The following procedures are required to be performed by the operator in order to prepare the DC2E Medium SXGA+
Projection System and its contents for use.
SITE SELECTION
To ensure minimal problems with set-up of the Medium SXGA+ Projection System
and good operation of equipment
being used in conjunction with it, ensure area is:
Dry and environmentally controlled
Protected area to run cables from Medium SXGA+ Projection System to ancillary equipment
POWER REQUIREMENTS
The Medium SXGA+ Projection System requires 110 VAC of surge protected power to operate.
SERVICE UPON RECEIPT
Inspect each system component for damage incurred during shipment. If any damage is visible, notify supervisor.
Report the damage on SF361, Transportation Discrepancy Report. Check the equipment against the packing slip to
see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in accordance with applicable service instructions.
Once all covers are removed, inspect the system and each piece of ancillary equipment. Inspect all connectors,
cables, and loose pieces of equipment located in the boxes. Refer to PMCS before placing equipment in service.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
The Medium SXGA+ Projection System requires assembly to place into operation. To set up the Medium SXGA+
refer to WP 0005 of this TM for setup and power up procedures.
PRELIMINARY SERVICING OF EQUIPMENT
WARNING
When working on the Medium SXGA+ Projection System, do not operate the equipment if the case
or equipment shows signs of moisture or water intrusion. Electrical shock can cause personnel
injury or death and may result in damage to equipment.
Do not apply power in the system is not properly grounded to the power source. Electrical shock
can cause personnel injury or death and may result in damage to equipment.
The Medium SXGA+ Projection System does not require a preliminary service. Daily checks are
addressed in the PMCS tables located in WP 0015 of this TM.
