gland from the top side of the safety tee
using a ½ inch wrench.

gland from the bottom side of the safety tee.

Remove the mounting bracket from the E-DWT enclosure by backing out the two Philips
head (“+” style) screws from the outside rear of the enclosure. Once removed, the safety
tee is now free to move.
Gently pull back on the high pressure stainless steel tube to remove it from the safety
tee. Then remove the safety tee from the tube connector on the top side. The tee
assembly is now free to be dissembled on a workbench.
Be careful not to scrape or damage the coned tube tip as this is where the high pressure
seal is made. A damaged tip can result in fluid leaks.
To help ease the reassembly process, remove the other end of the short nipple from the
bottom side of the TEST fitting bulkhead. (The nipple will be reassembled with the bracket and tee
before being assembled back into the E-DWT.)
Remove the safety head from the safety tee using a pair of 1 inch wrenches. Do not
remove the ¾ inch pipe to quick connect adaptor.
Replace the ruptured disk with a new replacement. (HiP p/n: RD11500)
Reassemble per the drawing. It is important the new rupture disk is correctly orientated
or it may deform under reassembly and fail. Torque the safety head to 102 Nm (75 ft*lb)
