REPLACING THE E-DWT HIGH PRESSURE RUPTURE DISK 

The E-DWT-10000-AF has a rupture disk to protect against serious damage to the high 
pressure (A70M) Q-RPT due to overpressure.  The maximum pressure of the A70M is         
10 000 psi (70 MPa).  The rupture disk is designed to rupture at 11 500 psi (79.3 MPa).  Prior 
to reaching this pressure, a high-pitched audible alarm will sound indicating that PMAX has 
been exceeded.   

A spare rupture disk is not provided with the E-DWT-10000-AF system.  If a replacement disk 
is required, it will need to be procured from the manufacturer.

Procedure, to replace the rupture disk: 

  Vent pressure from the RPM4-E-DWT. 

Close the reservoir cap and reservoir vent valve. Do not overtighten cap, do not go CW 
past CLOSE position. 

Plug the test port and close the reservoir shutoff valve. 

  Place the E-DWT-10000-AF on it’s right hand side. 

  Remove the screws from the perimeter of the left side panel using a 2 mm Allen head 

wrench.  Lift to remove panel. 

 

  Remove the 1/8 inch O.D. PFA 

tubing from the quick connect 
tube fitting by pressing in on the 
collar of the fitting and pulling 
back on the tube. 

  Prepare to catch oil runoff from 

the tube with a small cup and/or towel.  

Any oil that is in the clear PFA tube 
going back to the Reservoir Shut Off 

valve will spill out.
