Chapter 8: Equipment configuration
Enclosure —
Select the enclosure to which the inlet machine is connected from the drop down list
Slot —
Select the slot into which the inlet machine is connected from the drop down list
Open —
Select the module relay (and the pole) corresponding to the Open signal.
Close —
Select the module relay (and the pole) corresponding to the close signal
Input —
Select the input of the module related to the corresponding inlet from the drop down list.
This setting is not used in time-based inlets, but is mandatory for potentiometer and timed with
whisker switch inlets
Location —
Set the rough location of the inlets or inlet machines. This setting is optional.
Inlet model —
Select an inlet model from the drop down list. If not listed, select type
custom
Door type —
Select between single, dual, or quad door types. This setting is only displayed when
configuring ceiling inlets. Populates automatically when model is entered
Length —
Populates automatically when model is entered. Can be edited for custom inlets
Width —
Populates automatically when model is entered. Can be edited for custom inlets
# of inlets —
Enter the number of inlets connected to the inlet machine
Max amps —
Populated automatically based on other specifications. Can be edited
Min amps —
Populated automatically based on other specifications. Can be edited
Setting the limit switches
The limit switches must be mechanically set by the installer.
1. From the controller, move the actuator to a fully closed position.
2. Set the fully closed limit switch.
3. From the controller, move the actuator to a fully open position.
4. Set the fully open limit switch.
Calibrating an inlet
The goal of inlet calibration is for the controller to calculate how much time it takes to go from a fully
closed position to a fully open position and vice versa.
1. Once all mandatory fields for inlets have been configured, press on the calibration icon
.
NOTE:
When using a whisker switch, the calibration screen shows the whisker switch state and
position.
When in automatic calibration, a
Stop
and
Continue
button is displayed to stop calibration
or resume it at any point.
2. Select the type of calibration you want: Manual or Automatic.
