• Read the

paragraph carefully.
• Do not remove the plug from the power socket by pulling the power cable.
• Keep the power cable, any extensions, the plugs and the sockets dry. Do not touch with wet hands.
• Keep clear of moving parts of the motor pump and of the machine in which it is integrated, even if these are
adequately protected.
• Do not remove the guards of the moving parts.
• Do not touch pipes containing liquids under pressure.
• Do not perform maintenance operations on the motor pump and on the machine in which it is integrated if
this is operating.
• Read the
“i

”
paragraph carefully.
• Do not modify in any way the installation conditions of the motor pump. In particular, do not modify the
fastening, the hydraulic connections and the guards.
• Do not operate any taps on the motor pump unless these are connected to an accessory that prevents the
accidental escape of the pumped liquid.
• Do not deactivate or tamper with the controls and the safety devices and the pressure unloader/regulation valve.
• Operating the motor pump and the machine in which it is integrated in closed environments is forbidden if this
is driven by a combustion engine.
Perform the steps relating to the operation indicated in the manual relating to the machine in which the
motor pump is integrated and on any combustion engine equipping this; unless otherwise indicated, in
relation to the motor pump, the following should be remembered.
a) In the case of an electric motor pump, on the power box is an omnipolar disconnection switch (1) for starting
it and switching it off.
b) The motor pumps (except for MTP MC 8, MTP MC 18, MTP MC 20/20, MTP MC 25, MTP P36/10 and
MTP P36/15) feature taps on the high-pressure circuit. Their operation is controlled by the lever (15): the
ON and OFF position of the taps are shown in Fig. 10 and 11.
c) The motor pump can only be primed if the pressure of the delivery circuit is reset in the following way:
- fully turn the knob (3) of the regulation valve anticlockwise (only MTP MC 8 and MTP MC 18; also see
Fig. 9);
- adjust the lever (4), by moving it to “BYPASS” position (see the Fig. 10 and 11).
d) Operation of the delivery circuit under pressure is only possible if the lever (4) is in “PRESS” position (i.e., for
the MTP MC 8 and MTP MC 18, if the knob (3) is turned clockwise). Pressure adjustment occurs by means
of the knob (3) (also see Fig. 9, 10 and 11).
e) If fitted, the pressure is shown on the pressure gauge (11).
CAUTION
• To permit fast motor pump priming, proceed as indicated at point c) every time the pump has to be primed
again.
• During the first hours of operation, it is best to check the oil level and, if necessary, top up the level, following
the instructions in the
“p
relImInary
actIvItIes
”
paragraph.
• Do not operate the motor pump:
- if it is too noisy and/or water or oil is dripping from it: in this case have it checked by a
Skilled Technician
;
- when exposed directly to sunlight, with ambient temperature above 40 °C.
STOPPING, CLEANING AND DECOMMISSIONING
WARNING
•
Follow the instructions regarding stopping, cleaning and decommissioning contained in the manual
of the machine in which the motor pump is integrated and of any combustion engine equipping this.
