Management of patient data
Immediately after a patient has been connected to the CNAP
®
Monitor 500 and the setup process
has been performed correctly (see chapter 3.5.1 - Patient setup), the
Start Measurement
di-
alog for starting the measurement opens automatically. After selecting Start Measurement the
patient category and patient data can be set.
NOTE:
•
With regard to the safe operation of the CNAP
®
Monitor 500 as well as the unambi-
guous identification and classification of measurements and prints, the input of pa-
tient data is of essential importance. Entering the respective patient category, for
instance, results in the subsequent adjustment of the alarm limits as well as of the
NBP cuff inflation pressure.
5.1 Start Measurement
Patient entry and use of current patient data is done via the Start Measurement dialog appearing
on the main screen immediately after a new patient has been set up with the CNAP
®
double finger
cuff.
NOTE:
•
The
Start Measurement
dialog will be displayed automatically if a new patient
is measured or if the CNAP
®
double finger cuff has not been applied for ≥ 5
seconds. In case the
Start Measurement
dialog is not displayed automatically
despite correct application of the CNAP
®
double finger cuff (detection error) or if
the measurement is continued, it can be displayed by pressing the
Start/Stop
key.
