Example
The following example deletes all entries from the host name-to-address cache.
Console#
clear host *
35.20 clear host dhcp
Use the clear host dhcp Privileged EXEC mode command to delete entries from
the host name-to-address mapping received from Dynamic Host Configuration
Protocol (DHCP).
Syntax
clear host dhcp
{name | *}
Parameters
•
name —Specifies the host entry to remove. (Length: 1–158 characters.
Maximum label length: 63 characters
)
•
*—Removes all entries.

User Guidelines
This command deletes the host name-to-address mapping temporarily until the
next refresh of the IP addresses.
Example
The following example deletes all entries from the host name-to-address mapping
received from DHCP.
