Do not use this apparatus near water.
Clean only with dry cloth.
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifi ers)
that produce heat.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider
than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong is
provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fi t into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the
obsolete outlet.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point
where they exit from the apparatus.
Only use attachments/accessories specifi ed by the manufacturer.
Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specifi ed by the manufacturer or sold with the apparatus. When a
cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
Refer all servicing to qualifi ed service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any
way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the
apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Polarization
- This DIRECT TV Receiver is equipped with a plug that will fi t into the power outlet only one way. Do not modify
the plug defeating this feature. If the plug does not fi t, contact your electrician to replace your outlet. To prevent electric
shock, do not use this plug with an extension cord or outlet unless you can fully insert the blades without blade exposure.
Power Sources
- Operate this DIRECT TV Receiver only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If
you are not sure of the type of power supply, consult your dealer or local power company.
Power-Cord Protection
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
Overloading
- Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk
of fi re or electrical shock.
Ventilation
- Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation to ensure reliable operation of the product
and to protect it from overheating. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface. This product
should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided and the
manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.
For electrical safety, power line operated equipment or accessories connected to this unit should bear the UL listing mark
and should not be modifi ed so as to defeat the safety features. This will help avoid any potential hazard from electrical
shock or fi re. If in doubt, contact qualifi ed service personnel.
Heat
- Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifi ers)
that produce heat.
Accessories
- To avoid personal injury or damage to the DIRECT TV Receiver, do not place the DIRECT TV Receiver on any
unstable cart, stand, table, or bracket. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Attachments
- Do not use attachments unless recommended by DIRECT TV as they may cause hazards.
