MERCURY PLUS

1-229

1.  Turn off the printer.
2.  Raise the thermal head.
3.  Using an Allen wrench, unscrew the screw that fixes the head to the

dissipator.

4. Delicately push the head from under the dissipator and disconnect it

from the connector.

5. When the new head is installed, work through the operations

described above in reverse order, remembering to spread silicone
grease on the metal part of the head that contacts the dissipator in
order to dissipate the heat produced.
