Stopping position on a belt: a position (target) must be established on
each belt, where the products must stop in order to be subjected to the
process carried out on that belt (stopping while waiting for events,
enabling, confirmation from the user, weighing, labelling).
Weighing range: weighing range between the minimum weight and
maximum capacity.
Load receiver: part of the instrument where the load is positioned for
weighing.
Scanner: barcode reader.
Serialization: data transmission, character by character.
Slot: position or housing for the board in the terminal.
Stopped status: machine condition in which all the belts are at a
standstill or are stopping, and where the machine stops as soon as any
pieces reach their stopping position on the individual belts.
Enabling status of a belt: a belt "is enabled" if the next belt (or the
machine after the last belt of the line) is able to accept pieces. This
means that if a belt is not enabled, a piece in transit on it must stop in
the relative stop position, i.e. it cannot start again until its processing
status in that position has been completed.
Processing status: line condition whereby the conveying system is able
to accept pieces, handle them, weigh them, label them and totalize
them. The opposite situation is called "out of process".
Running status: machine condition whereby all the pieces must be able
to be continually moved, if enabled by the next machines.
Store: container of information that may include:

information that guides the way the specified code (if present) is
processed in relation to weighing, handling, characteristics associated
with the process.
