3.6.2 Clear zones
When the line is installed, particular attention must be paid to the
following "clear zones" which must be kept uncluttered so as to prevent
the operators' movements from being hampered:
✔
position of the weighing terminal: the operator must have free access
to the keyboard and be able to clearly see the weight and messages;
✔
position of the electric panel the operator must have free access to
the controls panel. There must also be a zone that allows the casing
that protects the electronic devices to be easily opened for servicing
purposes;
✔
position of the printers (even when there is only one printer): make it
easy to replace the roll of paper and remove the waste silicone
coated backing. There should also be a waste container nearby;
✔
position of the additional control buttons and selectors: the operator
must have free access to the keyboard;
✔
position of the handwheels used to make adjustments;
✔
position of the product loading area;position of the handwheels used
to make adjustments;
✔
position of the area where products are unloaded and packaged.
ATTENTION
Pay particular attention to the position of the EMERGENCY
BUTTONS, access to which must never be obstructed by
objects, even temporarily.
