ADDRESSING A BRIDGE INTERFACE

6. The keyboard LCD displays a message asking the operator to enter the new node ID. The node ID is the visible part of

a network address, as it is the number that an operator enters on a keyboard to indicate the device that is to be

controlled (e.g., Bridge number

, Camera receiver number

Use the number keys to enter the node ID.

7. Press the

Bridge Address

soft-key again to confirm the node ID.

The keyboard LCD displays a message confirming the change of address.

ADDRESSING A PYRAMID 2 KEYBOARD

If more than one Pyramid 2 Keyboard is connected to the Pyramid system, they need to be addressed so that the system

can distinguish each keyboard from the others.
To address a keyboard, follow the steps below:
1. Press the

Utility Menu

screen key.

2. Press the

Unit Address Type

soft-key. The

Addressing

screen is displayed.

3. Press the

Keyboard Address

soft-key. The keyboard LCD displays a message asking the operator to enter the keyboard

address.

4. Use the number keys to enter the new keyboard address. Valid addresses are in the range 1-20.
5. Press the

Keyboard Address

soft-key again to confirm the address.

6. Remove the smart card from the keyboard and disconnect the power by removing the RJ45 connector from the rear

panel. When the RJ45 connector is re-inserted and the keyboard powers up, the new address will be activated.
