Pyramid 2 Keyboard
MULTIPLEXER CONTROLS
When a multiplexer is selected, a screen is displayed that contains the icons you would normally find on a multiplexer.
Using these controls, an operator can assume direct control of a multiplexer from the Pyramid 2 Keyboard, and therefore
can also control the output on any monitors that are connected to the multiplexer.
The multiplexer controls are split over two screens, with movement between the two screens accomplished using the

and

soft-keys. These two screens are known as the
Multiplexer Control
screens:

Instruct the multiplexer to enter Decode mode (Playback).
Instruct the multiplexer to show live images in a multiscreen display.
Toggle through the different multiscreen displays that are available. The exact operation
of this soft-key depends on the make and model of the multiplexer.
Freeze all images on the multiplexer output monitor, whether the view is full-screen or
multiscreen.
Magnify (x2) the image on the multiplexer output monitor. Once the image has been
magnified, the joystick can be used to move around in side the image.

Press a number key followed by this soft-key to recall a macro function (e.g., adjust screen
configuration, recall multiple presets etc). New macros cannot be produced using the
keyboard, as the macros are programmed and stored on the multiplexer itself.
On some multiplexers, a quad display will be shown when the soft-key is pressed, while on
other models, the soft-key will cause the multiplexer to cycle through its multiscreen options.
Press this soft-key to instruct the multiplexer to begin a sequence. The keyboard has no
control over the sequence itself (e.g., the camera order, dwell time etc) as it was
programmed and stored on the multiplexer itself.
Press to enter Active Cameo mode. Once in this mode, use the joystick to move from one
cameo to another. Use the number keys and the
key (see
)
to place the required camera inputs into each cameo. To freeze individual cameos, use the
joystick to navigate to the required cameo and press the
soft-key.

Whilst in the

screens, the
Camera
and
Monitor
keys can be used to select cameras and
monitors that are connected to the multiplexer itself. This does not affect the current camera/monitor selections that have
made with the Pyramid 2 Keyboard, and only affects the multiplexer display itself.
