Figure 64 - Setting Menu Privileges
When the privileges have been set, push the joystick left twice to return to the
Smartcard Programming
screen. The
Privileges
menu item now displays the text
OK
to indicate that this field has been completed.
8. Select the
Resource Code
menu item. This item is used to set what buttons and screens will be created for the
operator when they use the Pyramid 2 Keyboard. Use the
Text Editor
screen again to enter one of the following three
digit codes, and then press the
Enter
soft-key.
011
Basic User
Code 011 enables the camera, monitor, preset and sequence selection buttons. The use of the PTZ controls
is enabled, as are the Auxiliary 1 and 2 buttons.
012
Basic User with alarm response access
Code 012 enables the same screens and buttons as code 011, with the added inclusion of the Alarm Display
screen. A user with this resource code can then accept and clear alarms.
013
Advanced User
Code 013 enables the same screens and buttons as code 011, and in addition, it enables the Auxiliary 3 and
4 buttons, the patrol and random tour buttons, and the VCR, multiplexer and HDR control screens.
014
Advanced User with alarm response access
Code 014 enables the same screens and buttons as code 013, with the added inclusion of the Alarm Display
screen. A user with this resource code can then accept and clear alarms.
015
Supervisor
Code 015 enables the same screens and buttons as code 014, with the addition of the preset and privacy
zone programming screens. A user with this resource code can also access the matrix menu system.
When assigning the
Resource Code
, the privileges that were assigned at steps 5 and 6 should be considered. For
example, if a user has been assigned access to the matrix menu system but is then given the Resource Code 011
(Basic User), they will not be able to access the menu system anyway. This is because the keyboard screen that allows
access to the matrix menu system is not provided to basic users.
Note
There is also an installers configuration which is enabled when an PY2-ISC installers card is inserted. These cards are
programmed exclusively at Baxall, and one is included with this keyboard. Only one installers card should be used on
a system at one time.
9. Select the
Pin number
menu item. This item is used to set the pin number that the operator will have to enter each time
that they log on to the Pyramid 2 Keyboard. Use the
Text Editor
screen to enter a four-digit pin number, and then press
the
Enter
soft-key.
10. Select the
Group ID
menu item. This item is not currently used, but a number must still be entered. Using the
Text
Editor
screen, enter a number and then press the
Enter
soft-key.
