Installation and Operating Instructions

ALARMS AND ALARM MODES

Camera/Monitor Pairing

The designated Alarm Monitor displays a textual Active Alarm List. In this mode alarms are associated with a camera and

monitor pair. For example, referring to Figure 49, a window protected with a forced-entry device has an alarm response

configured such that camera 1 is displayed on monitor 7 and camera 4 on monitor 10. If the alarm is acknowledged and

cleared, it will be removed from the active alarm list and the camera/monitor pairings will switch to the next active alarm in

the list. Up to eight camera/monitor pairings can be configured for a single alarm response.

RESPONDING TO ALARMS

When an alarm is triggered, the

Alarm Display

screen is automatically displayed on the Pyramid 2 Keyboard. Using the

soft-keys in the

Alarm Display

screen, an alarm can be accepted and then cancelled.

Accepting an Alarm

1. Select a monitor other than the one that is showing the Active Alarm List - see

Selecting a Monitor

2. Enter the alarm number that is to be accepted (as indicated on the alarm list) using the number keys.
3. Press the

Accept

soft-key.

The selected monitor will then display the alarm and its associated camera, and the alarm should disappear from the Active
