Pyramid 2 Keyboard

TESTING A RECEIVER

The Pyramid 2 Keyboard can be used to run the Test Receiver function. This enables an operator to test the functions of a

receiver fully.
By entering the number of the receiver and then pressing the

Test Rx

soft key, the test function learns the direction of the

preset potentiometers. If the pan and tilt moves away from presets instead of towards them in any axis (pan, tilt, zoom or

focus) then the test function will correct this.
It is advisable to locate the PTZ at approximately the centre point of travel in pan and tilt axis prior to using this function.

The Test Receiver function cannot be overridden once started, so ensure that the movement of the PTZ is not

going to cause a health and safety risk to any engineering personnel near the camera.

SETTING AUTO-IRIS LEVELS

If a receiver is connected to the manual iris of a camera, then the Pyramid 2 Keyboard can be used to set and control the

auto-iris levels of this camera. Using the keyboard, the iris level can be configured and then stored for future use.
To set the auto-iris level of a camera, follow the steps below:
1. Select the PTZ camera whose auto-iris level is to be configured - see

Selecting a Camera

on page 14.

2. Press the

Utility Menu

screen key.

3. Press the

Receiver Utilities

soft-key.

4. Use the

Iris

key to change the iris level as required. See page 14 for more details about the use of this key.

5. Press the

Store Iris

soft-key to confirm the iris level. This soft-key replaces

Function 121

on PY-KBD.

6. It is now necessary to save the auto-iris level to the receiver. To do this, press the

Prog Preset

soft-key to display the

Preset Programming

screen. To complete the procedure, press the

Store Presets

soft-key.
