Installation and Operating Instructions

THE FUNCTION SOFT-KEY

When a user with installer privileges enters the

Utility Menu

, they will see a soft-key labelled

Function

. This

soft-key can

be used in conjunction with the number keys to call various engineering functions. To recall one, use the number keys to

enter the appropriate code, and then press the

Function

soft-key.

There are four codes that can be used in conjunction with the

Function

soft-key:

200 = Activate the OSD on the selected monitor

To recall this function, type 200 on the number keys and press the

Function

soft-key.

This activates the on-screen display (OSD) on the selected monitor.

201 = Deactivate the OSD on the selected monitor

To recall this function, type 201 on the number keys and press the

Function

soft-key.

This deactivates the on-screen display (OSD) on the selected monitor.

204 = Send a time update to all connected devices

To recall this function, type 204 on the number keys and press the

Function

soft-key.

This sends a time update to VCRs, multiplexers and any extra matrices that are connected to the Pyramid system. This

function is also performed automatically at 2 A.M. daily.

251 = Reset the matrix to the factory settings

To recall this function, type 251 on the number keys and press the

Function

soft-key. Then reboot the matrix. When

completed, the matrix will have had the factory settings restored.
