THICKNESS REF 

In this menu item, the reference surface is finally defined with due regard to the thickness of the auxiliary 
plate. 
 
Important: The sensor automatically suppresses everything below the defined reference surface. This shifting 
of the reference surface can also be used to suppress undesired backgrounds. 

 

The surface taught in under TEACH REF is always the basis for this. This can be corrected downward with a

THICKNESS REF = 10 mm (example); this is the redefined reference surface, everything 
below it is suppressed 

Auxiliary plate  

NOTE 
If there is no auxiliary plate in use, the item THICKNESS REF must be saved with 0 
mm by pressing SET for 2 seconds. 
 

NOTE 

Once FLEX MOUNT is active, the measuring field and the digital output will 
be reset to the default values (FLEX MOUNT = Maximum measuring field, 
DIGITAL OUT = 0 mm).
