Definition of the measuring field with standard installation 

The important terms "Left" and "Right" are to be regarded respectively from the viewpoint of the connector.

at a distance of 150 … 250 mm (z axis) 
and in the measuring range (x axis) from

The object must be within the measuring 
field, i.e. the distance must not exceed 
250 mm, but it can also be smaller.
