BCX Series Operating Manual Page 23
A. INTRODUCTION TO OPERATING THE PLC THROUGH THE VCU
The PLC and VCU are easy to learn and use. The PLC offers complete flexibility to
custom program tests and test cycles. None of the operations are difficult to learn,
whether running standard tests that are pre-programmed into the unit, or setting up
custom testing programs.
This section provides basic information about operating the BCX Series PLC and VCU.
Experienced operators of other PLCs should experience no difficulties in learning the
variations found in this unit. Someone who has never used a PLC also should find no
real difficulty, while it may take a little more time to become acquainted and proficient in
running tests. This material is designed to make it even easier for both.
Learning Tip:
This text is designed only to complement active exploration of the
controls. The first-time operator should be in front of the VCU panel with the unit turned
on to go through the learning steps. While some may wish to read through this material
first, real learning will take place not by reading, but by exploring.
