Link Cables & Equipment
AMX AutoPatch provides link cables and equipment for enclosures that are
ordered as part of a linked system. Epica-128 and Epica-256 enclosures can be
linked to each other and to other AMX AutoPatch Distribution Matrices using
the cable and equipment specified in the table below.

on one enclosure to the Ethernet (BNC) connector on another enclosure; also
used to connect the Epica to the Media Converter if required

* – Straight-through patch cable (wired to TIA / EIA-568-A)
* Media Converter and RJ-45 cable are used when linking an Epica to an Optima
or a Precis 500 MHz.
The link cables and Media Converter listed are also available for customers who
want to link enclosures that were not originally ordered to do so. Contact your
AMX representative for details.
3.1 Direct Linking Epica
An Epica can be directly linked to another Epica enclosure via their 10Base-2
Ethernet ports using an RG-58 coax cable.
Note:
This section also applies when linking an Epica-128 or Epica-256 to a
Modula or 8Y-3000.
