Zone type 2 (tamper) is only used to secure a separate tamper loop, such as the tamper switch of a flash light
or sirene. The tamper switches of regular detectors are secured by the EOL detection (see page
Zone type 3 (hold up) is used for hold-up switches. When a zone with this type is activated, the message
“
information present
” will appear in the LCD display, but the keypad’s buzzer is not activated.
When the zone type is programmed as 4 (
fire
zone), and the speaker output (9) is programmed to fire zones,
the speaker will, in case of a fire alarm, give a slow-whoop sound instead of the normal siren sound.
When the zone type is programmed as 5, a
technical/medical
alarm, the programmed option in screen 8
(medical alarm instead of technical) decides whether the zone functions as a technical or a medical alarm.
The programmed alarm is, in case of alarm, shown on the LCD display and send with the correct SIA code
to the monitoring station. The outputs programmed in screen 4 for technical alarms will be activated in case
of alarm, no matter the programming is set to “medical” or “technical”.
Programming the zone to the right zone assures the correct SIA code being send in case of alarm. This is
only true when the dialler protocol is programmed as SIA or SIA-HS. For all other protocols, the dial code
(DC) must be set for each report.
