The installer code can be made up of 4, 5 or 6 digits. The default setting is 6 digits and the default installer
code is 123456. When the installer code is unchanged but the number of digits of the user codes has been set
back to 4, the default installer code will be 1234.

When the installer code is not known, it can be returned to the default code 123456. When this is done, also
the supervisor code is returned to the default code.
To return the installer code to the default code, open the control panel’s casing, so that the tamper switch is
open. Then, when the control panel prompts for the installer code, enter the default code 123456. The
following question will appear on the screen:

Do you want to set back the INSTALLERCODE and
SUPERVISORCODE to their default values?

If you execute this option, then also the number
of codedigits for usercodes will be
programmed to 6.

Enter your choice (Y/N):

When you choose “Y”, the screen will change to:

One moment please while the default
installercode and the default
supervisorcode are being programmed.

After a few seconds, the main menu will be shown.

When you choose “N”, the installer code and the supervisor code will remain unchanged and the control
panel reboots with the following message appearing on the screen:

When there is no installer code entered, the AlphaVision NG control panel will start functioning within a
few seconds. When this happens, the screen will be filled with different characters. This is because the
RS-232 is connected parallel to the RS-485 bus.

If you wish to edit the programming of an existing installation, you will have to execute function 7 first to
start up the local programming.

Enter on the LCD keypad <? ><7><#>, followed by the installer code.

When this is done, the question “Start local programming PC?” will appear on the LCD display. Press the
<#> key to confirm. Now also the PC software prompts for the installer code. Enter the installer code on the
PC and confirm with <Enter>. Now the programming main menu will appear:
