failure, telephone line monitoring failure) the messages will be deleted only when the tamper or system
failure has been solved.
Alarm restore reports will only be send to the monitoring station when function 22 has been executed and
when the information has been erased with the <#> key. Tamper and trouble restore reports will only be
send when the tamper or trouble has been solved, function 22 has been executed, and the message has been
erased.
Attention:
When a tamper or system failure occurs, it is not possible to arm the system. A tamper or system
failure has to be solved first, before any user can arm the system.
Attention:
When option “
Alarm on LCD if CP ARMED
” has been enabled in screen 8 of the
programming, the message “INFORMATION AVAILABLE” will also be displayed when the control panel
is armed.
Attention:
In screen 8 you can set function 22 to be directly accessible by pressing the <#> key. When this
option has been enabled, pressing the <#> is enough to view the available information. For more
information, please see the explanation on page 43.
Security against random entering user codes
After entering 3 non-valid user codes, the keypad is blocked for ten seconds. When the ten seconds have
passed, and another non-valid code is entered, the keypad will be blocked for another ten seconds. This goes
on until a valid code is entered. You can also program the AlphaVision NG control panel to send a message
to the central station when 6 non-valid codes have been entered. See also page 44.
Arming using user codes
The AlphaVision NG control panel can be armed with an LCD, LCD/Prox and a LED keypad. User codes
can consist of 4, 5 or 6 digits. Depending on the programmed user levels, the users can or cannot execute
functions. For more explanation on arming and disarming with the several user code levels, please see the
user manual.
Executing functions
All functions of the AlphaVision NG control panel are executed by pressing the <?> key, followed by the
function number <1 or 2 digits>, and then followed by the <#> key. When this has been entered, the
requested function will be shown, with its explanation on the bottom line. It is possible to scroll up and
down through all functions with the <
↑
> and the <
↓
> keys.
When the desired function appears in the LCD screen, a user code must be entered. This user code has to
have the correct security level, or higher. If the user code entered does not comply with the needed security
level, the control panel’s LCD screen will return to the idle state.
F1# Activate RESET output
For some fire or smoke detectors the RESET output can be activated by executing function 1. Most smoke
or fire detectors stay in alarm and need to be reset after they have given an alarm. If these fire detectors are
not reset, they will stay in alarm. Activating the reset output can cut off the power supply to the smoke
detectors for a short time.
This output can also be used for other applications. When this function is executed, the programmed output
is activated for a short time.
Press <?> <1> <#>, followed by a level 2 or higher user code. The following message will appear on your
LCD display for a few seconds:
RESET output is
activated.
