When a zone is open while the RTC tries to arm the system, the control panel will try to bypass the zone
automatically. When bypass fails or is prohibited (see explanation screen 1 of the programming), the control
panel will NOT be armed.
When the zone can be bypassed, this will be reported to the monitoring station (only when SIA HS protocol
is used), and will be saved in the historical overview.
ATTENTION: We strongly recommend enabling the arm time monitoring service when the RTC is used.
When enabled, the user will be alerted if the system has not armed on the set times, or when the system is
disarmed on an irregular time. This service can be requested from the monitoring station.
F23# Program automatic timer switch (RTC)
Press <?> <2> <3> <#>, followed by a level 5 user code. The following message will appear on your LCD
display:
Enter number of
RTC module: .
Now select one of the timer switches (RTC) 1-4 to be programmed, or leave this function by pressing the
<*> key. You have to program each timer switch separately.
When the <1> key is pressed, the display will change to:
RTC module 1
SECTION abcdefgh
“RTC module 1” tells you this is timer switch number 1. The characters “abcdefgh” show the available
sections for the specific level 5 user code, this can differ depending on the sections assigned to the user code.
If the user code is valid for only some of the sections, only those sections that are available are shown.
If this is not the timer switch you wish to program, use the <
↑
> and the <
↓
> keys to select another timer
switch.
When the correct timer switch is shown in the display, press the <#> key to confirm your selection and start
programming the timer switch. Press the <#> key again to program the sections to be armed and disarmed.
The lower case characters which represent the sections “abcdefgh” will change to capital characters
“ABCDEFGH”. Now you can select the sections using the numerical keys 1-8. If the <2> key is pressed, the
sections will change to “A.CDEFGH”, showing that section B is
not
armed or disarmed with this timer
switch. When the correct sections are shown in the display, press the <#> key to confirm. When this is done,
the following will appear on the display:
RTC 1 T1 OFF/ON:
Su 00:00 / 00:00
This states:
RTC 1
Timer switch 1 is active
T1 OFF/ON
The first of the two time blocks (T1) is active
Su
The day of the week which is active (Sunday in this case)
00:00 / 00:00
The disarm and arm times which are programmed (00.00 is an invalid value, so this
means no times are programmed yet)
Attention: The first time shown is the DISARM time and the second time shown is the ARM time.
