Appendix B:
Expansion modules dipswitch settings
Expansion modules are each set to a different
address with 4 dipswitches.
The RO modules and Wireless interface modules
have more than 4 dipswitches. With these
modules, the left four dipswitches are used for
address settings.
Each
expansion module
must be set to a different address. There are different types of modules:
Input + 8 OC module for 8 wired zones expansion
I/O module with power supply for 8 wired zones expansion
Wireless interface module for 8 wireless zones expansion
Relay output (RO) module
Up to 11 expansion modules can be connected to the AlphaVision NG control panel. It does not matter of
which type these modules are, as long as the maximal bus load is not exceeded (see chapter “Current drain
and battery calculation), and the maximal distance between a module and the nearest power supply is not
exceeded. It is for instance possible to connect 11 Wireless interfaces, thus creating 88 wireless and 8 wired
(on the control panel circuit board) zones.
The RO module addressing has nothing to do with the expansion module and keypad addressing. It is
possible to have a keypad, an RO module and an expansion module set to address 1! It is not possible to
have both a wireless interface and an I/O module set to address 1.
