Attention:
It is possible to connect several RO modules, but keep in mind that the maximum number of
modules connected to the RS-485 bus is 32. When a system consists of a control panel, 8 keypads, 11
expansion modules (Input + 8 OC and I/O modules), an AlphaCom, a printer module and a DLM-100 (23
modules), 9 RO modules can be connected (or 4 RO modules and 4 NG Prox Readers).
Printer module
The printer module is connected is gets its power supply from the RS-485 bus. The printer module does not
have to be set to an address. The control panel will recognize the printer module when the control panel is
powered up.
The printer module output is a DB25/parallel Centronics connection. The cable that has to be placed
between the printer output and the parallel Centronics printer is the same as the cable used between a regular
IBM compatible computer and a parallel Centronics printer.

AlphaCom ISDN dialler
The AlphaCom ISDN dialler is used for transmitting reports over the ISDN net. The AlphaCom is connected
directly to the S0-bus of the ISDN-2 connection. The AlphaCom dialler is available in two different types,
the AlphaCom Plug-on and the AlphaCom II. Both types have an RS-485 connection for direct integration
with the AlphaVision NG control panel.
The AlphaCom Plug-on is especially designed for the AlphaVision control panel and can be plugged onto
the control panel circuit board. The control panel has a special RS-485 connection for the AlphaCom Plug-
on, located at the left topside of the circuit board. The RS-485 bus supplies the AlphaCom dialler with
power and creates the most optimal link between the control panel and the ISDN network. The AlphaCom
also has an ISDN connection with an integrated priority switch, for connecting other ISDN equipment. The
AlphaCom dialler is programmed with the Winterm or Termpriv Terminal software. For wiring diagrams
and programming instructions, please see the AlphaCom manual.
