Troubleshooting

Problem

Possible cause

Solution

The motor of the 

table saw is not 

running.

The mains plug has not 

been inserted.

Insert the mains plug.

The house fuse or residual 

current protection switch 

has triggered.

Check the mains cord and, if 

applicable, the extension cord 

for damage.
Replace the fuse or switch it 

back on (circuit breaker).

The motor overload protec-

tion has triggered because 

the motor is overloaded or 

overheated.

Let the table saw cool off for 

15–20 minutes.

Insufficient cutting 

power, the saw 

blade does not run 

smoothly and/or 

a large amount of 

dust is produced 

while sawing.

The saw blade is dull.

Replace the saw blade with a 

new one.

The motor produc-

es a large amount 

of sparks.

The carbon brushes are 

defective.
