Ho w to View or Change an GPIB Address from the Front P anel
Note
T o set a GPIB address from the fron t panel, the instrumen t address
on the rear panel GPIB switch ( Figure 3-2) must b e set to 31 (all
1s).

4. Select the desired softkey .
5. The sw ept signal generator displays the address selected for that
instrumen t.
6. If y ou w an t to c hange the address, use the k eypad to en ter the
desired address (0 to 30), then press 4

Remember
If the sw ept signal generator displays Rear panel GPIB address
must be 31 (11111) in order to change current address (=XX) ,
the address on the rear panel GPIB switch ( Figure 3-2 ) is set to
something other than 31 (all 1s).

T o disable the address softkeys, set the instrumen t address on the
rear panel GPIB switch ( Figure 3-2 ) to an y address other than 31 (all
1s).
Ho w to Set the GPIB Address on a Sw ept Signal Generator without a
Front P anel
If y our sw ept signal generator do es not ha v e a fron t panel, set the
address on the rear panel GPIB switch ( Figure 3-2) to the address
y ou w an t (factory default is 19).

T o k eep the in ternal timebase frequency reference o v en at op erating
temp erature, the sw ept signal generator m ust b e connected to ac line
p o w er. The sw ept signal generator requires appro ximately 30 min utes
to w arm up from a cold start b efore the OVEN display message
go es o. With a stable outside temp erature, in ternal temp erature
equilibrium is reac hed after appro ximately t w o hours. F or additional
