METHODS OF OPERATING THE ATLAS 800

You can access basic setup functions from the ATLAS 800
PLUS
Front Panel.
However, to access all of the ATLAS 800
PLUS
functions, set up a Telnet ses-
sion or use a VT-100 terminal emulation. In addition, T-Watch PRO provides
limited configuration control. The following sections provide an overview of
these methods of operating the ATLAS 800
PLUS
. After you understand the
different ways to operate the ATLAS 800
PLUS
, you will be ready to configure
the unit.
USING THE FRONT PANEL
With the ATLAS 800
PLUS
powered-up, the Front Panel LCD window dis-
plays four menu items (see Figure 3-1). To select a menu item, either press
the corresponding number on the Front Panel keypad or press the Front
Panel up and down arrows to scroll to the menu selection. For detailed in-
formation on the Front Panel menus, see

Using Front Panel Menu CONFIG to Set Up the Unit ID
Figure 3-2 shows the path you would follow to set up the Unit ID from the
