Advanced Features
The following sections discuss some of the advanced metering features available on the
SGM3000 Series meters.
4.1 Supply Disconnect and Reconnect
The SGM3000 Series supply disconnection and reconnection (SDR) functionality provides the
means to disconnect the load-side terminals from the line-side terminals by actuating a switch
that is controlled by the meter. The relay will be controlled directly through commands to
open/close or through applications such as supply limiting and prepayment. This section
contains the firmware functional specifications related to the supply disconnect reconnect
functionality. The following table highlights the meter models in the SGM3000 Series with their
various relays.

General Specifications
The supply disconnect reconnect functionality will apply to the following SGM3000 Series
meters that have a main disconnect relay: SGM3011, SGM3013, SGM3022, SGM3023,
SGM3031, SGM3033, and SGM30C2. SGM3011, SGM3013, SGM3022, SGM3023, SGM3031, and
SGM3033 have a nominal 100 A relay and SGM30C2 has a nominal 2 A relay.
The configuration parameters for the main relay in the meter providing the supply disconnect
reconnect functionality are stored in NVRAM. All configuration options for the supply
disconnect reconnect relay will be configurable locally via MeterMate and remotely via the AMI
interface.
The SGM3000 Series meters support the opening (supply disconnection) and closing of the
main supply relay (supply reconnection) manually and automatically as defined by the supply
disconnect/reconnect functionality. Opening of the main supply relay will impact all out-going
circuits of the meter.
